Our Process

Six steps from
idea to installed.

Straightforward, with your approval before anything is built. You will always know what stage the project is at.

01

Consultation

Discuss the project, goals, budget, materials, and timeline.

This is the conversation that sets everything up. Bring photos, rough dimensions, drawings, inspiration images or just an idea. Nothing needs to be finalized yet.

02

Design

Measurements, drawings, material selections, and project details are finalized.

Shop drawings are traditionally drafted by hand using pencil and 1/8 inch scale drafting paper. Depending on the project this covers measurements, drawings, material selections, hardware and finishes.

03

Approval

Design and project pricing are approved before fabrication.

Nothing gets built until you have seen the design and the pricing and signed off on both. No surprises later.

04

Fabrication

The project is built in the shop.

Milling, joinery and assembly happen in house. An estimated timeline is provided during planning, with updates as the work moves along.

05

Finishing

Parts are sanded and stained, painted, or clear-coated as required.

Finishing is done before installation wherever possible, so the finished surfaces are even and the site stays clean.

06

Installation

Completed work is delivered and installed.

Delivery and professional installation of the completed work, fitted properly in your space.

Good to know

Old school where it counts.

Shop drawings are drafted by hand, in pencil, on 1/8 inch scale drafting paper.

It is a slower way to work and a more deliberate one. It also means the person drawing your project is the person who will build it, so nothing gets lost between a screen and the shop floor.
